The Marta Mathews diaries
By Marta Mathews
October 11, 2003
I did not stick with my entries this week as everyday was pretty much the same.... I would get up at 5:30 a.m. sharp every single morning and proceed with my one hour of cardio. I would have the same thing for breakfast every single day, the same balanced boring meals throughout the day, and weight lifting sessions after work. Basically a very routine week, although yesterday (Friday) was very tough for me physically and I very much looked forward to sleeping in this morning. It was great waking up today and not having to rush out of bed. I'm feeling re-charged and ready to go. With twenty days left I'm expecting my body to be running on adrenaline more so than on anything else. This weekend is Thanksgiving and a chance for me to sleep in for three days in the row... I've already used up one of my three chances to sleep in, but I still have two more mornings where I can get up at my leisure and go about my day accordingly. Strangely enough I'm not even concerned about missing out on a Thanksgiving dinner as much as I am excited about getting a chance to sleep in three days in the row! I really look forward to the show being done and over with!

I bought some fabric this week and I will make an attempt to make my own show bikini. I find doing little projects like this one tend to take my mind off of food and the anxiousness of working out. It's not that I'm hungry, I' m just bored of the same old chicken, veggies, egg whites, and oatmeal. I really look forward to some quality home made carrot cake once my show is over.....
