Monday Feb. 23/04
I am back to eating super clean this week as I want to look really good for my upcoming photo shoots. I am still not done eating for the day, so I will post my diet tomorrow as I haven’t been doing that lately.
As for my training, I am trying something new yet again. Specifically, I’ve decided that I need to bring my abs out as much as possible for my shoots. The technique that I have incorporated to help them come out of the winter fluff is called “ZANE BLITZ”...
Zane’s Purpose - To bring out a lagging body part as quickly as possible.
Method - Two weeks of pure bombardment of the target muscle group
Marta’s Target Muscle Group Requiring Punishment - ABS
Here is how it works -
Day One - Train abs with 25 sets to failure (I pick 5 different exercises and perform five sets of each to failure)
Day Two - Train abs with 15 sets to failure
Day Three - Train abs with 10 sets to failure
Day Four - Relax
Day Five - Train abs with 25 sets to failure
Day Six - Train abs with 4 sets to failure
Day Seven - Relax
Day Eight - Relax
Day nine - START OVER
I have already completed cycle 1 and shockingly enough I notice a lot more definition in my target area. I have started my second cycle yesterday and I should have some pretty nice abs for Saturday. I bet the cameras will be impressed As I go on my cut I might hit another lagging body part in a similar fashion. I will say this though - The Zane blitz is NO fun at all! So be prepared to fry your muscles and risk dying at the gym!
NOTE*** Zane was the three time world champion, so the man knew what he was doing when he designed this killer routine.
Wednesday, Feb.25/04
One more workout and my bulking blitz will be over! Yesterday I went to the gym and ran for 30 minutes. Lately I’ve been doing very little cardio and the thought of having to get back to it as early as next week is not exactly thrilling me. I do however have a vision of the end result, so it will all be worth it in the long run (or many long runs I should say  ..) I have also trained abs as part of my Zane blitz program.
I haven’t been writing much about my diet lately, other than it’s starting to get really clean. Here is my diet for yesterday (Tuesday)
7:00
1 cup 1% cottage cheese
12 oz black coffee with Splenda
VITAMIN B, C, GLUCOSAMINE, MULTIVITAMIN, 5 GRAMS L-GLUTAMINE
9:30
1 cup 1% cottage cheese
4 EGG WHITES
BLACK COFFEE WITH SPLENDA
½ medium tomatoe
12:00
120 grams white tuna
1 TBLSP flax oil / 2 tblsp vinegar
4 cups lettuce, ½ tomatoe, ¼ green pepper
3:00
½ medium tomatoe
6 egg whites
6:00 - Fireproof inspired chocolate smootie* YUM!
1 scoop whey protein in water + ice
1 tablespoon heavy cream
1 teaspoon dry cocoa powder
1 packet splenda
7:30
1 chicken drumstick
3 oz chicken breast
2 cups mixed green veggies (broccoli, asparagus, spinach)
10:00
1 scoop whey protein in water
½ oz pecan nuts
DAILY TOTAL:
CALORIES: 1586
FAT: 51 G – 29%
CARBS: 72 G – 15%
PROTEIN: 218 G – 55%
Pretty good day yesterday….
Thursday, Feb. 26/04
Okay, so I'm pretty pissed off... I missed my workout today since I had to spend my afternoon at a local police station reporting a hit and run accident... I haven't even finished paying for my last accident and I'm already stuck with another one. Last evening I found my car at the parking lot completely smashed and no one in sight to accept responsibility for what they did. Of course I have insurance, but the $500 deductible is a major financial blow for me, not to mention all the other hassles of having to go through the whole ordeal... By the time I got home in my rent-a-VAN - that's right, they couldn't even give me a normal car - instead I get a white van that looks like an ice-cream truck and is making me want to have one out of sorrow for myself...
Saturday, Feb. 28/04
Talk about HARD Core - my pic from today's photo shoot will explain what I mean!!! Obviously I am bulked out to the max, but it will be very interesting to see what comes from underneath my winter fluff in three months.. My cut is starting March 1st.....
