As always, Monday is easy diet-wise… I'm feeling terrific now! Today I went to see my personal trainer and she updated my program a bit, we worked legs, chest, and triceps today, and I'll be going back to her tomorrow morning to get the rest! I just got back from a 50 minute cardio session.

I've been doing great in the food area so far (I know... it's only been a day and a half, but still, yeah for me!) I did my second session with my personal trainer today and that was KILLER! We went over back, biceps, shoulders, forearms, and abs/core (not that I'd be doing these all on one day, just for her to show me all the exercises I'll be doing on different days - yesterday we went over the rest of the muscle groups) I'm going to go over to the gym in about half an hour to do some cardio.

I ate clean yesterday, but didn’t really manage to get enough meals in… it was crazy busy at my studio!!! It was my rest day yesterday, but by the end of the day I felt I had been working out ALL day! I was so, so tired last night! I did my laundry at midnight, got to bed by 1:30am, but then I got tons of sleep (slept in till 10 this morning), so that was great! I've done cardio (40 minutes) and a forearm and shoulder workout.
I've been doing great this week and I'm going to keep going strong this weekend! Thursday is usually the day I tend to start screwing up my diet, so I'm going to stay strong tonight... think good thoughts about my willpower for me!!! PS: my abs are still KILLING from Tuesday!!!

How was everyone's Valentine's day? Mine wasn’t anything out-of the-ordinary… I taught two exercise classes and had two rehearsals during the day, then all night from 6:30 - 1:00am I did three bellydance shows! My boyfriend and I have been a little weird lately so it wasn't a big romance-fest at all. I did not do perfectly with the eating this weekend, but it was definitely an improvement from any other weekends! I was strong and stayed clean on Thursday, clean all day Friday... Friday night was supposed to be a fun night out with my man, the only fun part was eating some bad stuff unfortunately - small popcorn with butter, shared some movie nachos and cheese, Kool-Aid, cookies, and probably more (that I'm blocking out of my memory)!

Saturday, I started out really well, and I brought mini-meals with me to my studio, but then I was so busy with all my classes and rehearsals that I didn't eat anything except 3 strawberries and a few sips of a protein drink! I was so exhausted by the end of the day and I still had three shows to go for the night! I hopped on the bus and had to eat a granola bar and chocolate milk (best I could do)! Did two of my shows and had some time to spare, so I ended up eating at a pub, with their late night menu (uh oh!) I had such a tiring, bad day, that I was actually a little pleased to see that everything on the late-night menu was bad for me... nachos, wings, fries, poppers, fried stuff! I ended up having nachos! Bad, bad, bad!!! Then my last show was at 12:30am (I hopefully worked off some of the nachos!)

Today (Sunday), I've done great with the diet. From now on I will be making Saturdays and Sundays my rest days just because there's just too much teaching, performing, and rehearsing over the weekends. I was ACHING like crazy when I woke up - I feel like a very old lady! I wasn't sure if I would be able to get up from bed!!! But I did... and I taught my class at my studio at noon! Feeling much better than I did yesterday! Hope you all had better Valentine's weekends than I did!!!
