My weekend was quite interesting!!! My boyfriend was over at my place all weekend which is not normal, so it was a bit of a challenge to stay clean with the eating, but it went pretty good! I almost caved last night and bought a tub of Haagen Dazs ice cream while we were doing groceries, but I didn't! Yeah! So, my calories were up a bit from the week (I ate about 2000 calories on Friday and Saturday, but came back down to about 1400 on Sunday)... I figure this unintentional calorie cycling is good so my body doesn't go into starvation mode. I just got back from my workout... today, as well as a 30 minute before-breakfast run, I did legs, abs, and 35 more minutes of cardio. It was a great workout. My body was really changing and getting leaner looking for a while last week, but now it just looks pudgy and bloated! I wonder why? I checked my weight and I haven't gone up, I'm still at 147, no lower yet (my goal for today was 145 lbs), but soon I hope! I think that's all I have to report right now, so I'll sign off now! I'm feeling a heck of a lot better about my body today!!! Last night I experimented a bit with Jan Tana Show Tan on my legs (so if it came crazy-looking no one would see it!) It worked very nicely and I wore shorts to the gym to show off my new bronzed-looking legs! My mom and I were noticing some new muscle definition in my calves and hamstrings today which was very exciting!!! And last night some of my students said I was looking tiny!!! It's always good when you get some feedback from outside people, rather than just admiring your hard work in the mirror yourself (and wondering if you're imagining your progress!) I just got back from the gym... I had a wicked chest and tricep workout and then some cardio (in addition to my before breakfast run)! Yeah! I am loving the morning cardio, it really makes you feel alive!!! 

Here is my diet from yesterday: 

8:00am - morning run 30 minutes 

8:40am 
- 1 cup egg whites 
- oatmeal 
- applesauce 
- glutamine, chromium, multivitamin, green tea 

10:00 - 11:40am - WORK-OUT! 

11:40am 
- 3/4 bottle of Nitro-Tech protein drink 
- glutamine 

1:00pm 
- sole stuffed with scallops and crabmeat 
- salad with 2 tbsp. light Italian dressing 

3:30pm 
- 1/2 cucumber 
- chicken breast 
- 1 twizzler stick (ouch!) 

6:30pm 
- 1/2 cup skim cottage cheese 

8:40pm 
- sole stuffed with scallops and crabmeat 
- salad with 1 tsp. Udo's oil and vinegar 

11:00pm 
- 1/4 cup skim cottage cheese 
- 2 tbsp. light feta cheese 

1418 calories 
35g fat (22%) 
114g carbs (30%) 
169g protein (48%) 

Pretty good!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!! Unfortunately I won't be drinking my green beer in the pub tonight, but that's OK, I had my green tea instead this morning! Yesterday went well, but I was exhausted by the end of the day! Here is my eating from yesterday: 

7:40am - morning run (30 minutes) 

8:20am 
- 1 cup egg whites 
- oatmeal 
- applesauce 
- glutamine, chromium, multi-vitamin, green tea 

10:00 - 11:30am - WORKOUT! 

11:30am 
- Nitro-Tech protein drink, glutamine, chromium 

1:00pm 
- sole stuffed with scallops and crabmeat 
- 2 cups broccoli 
- 1 tsp. peanut butter 

3:40pm 
- 1/2 cucumber 
- 1 chicken breast 

10:00pm (this meal was really big cause I missed one meal between my classes) 
- large salad with light feta cheese and Udo's 
- sole stuffed with scallops and crabmeat 
- 2 cups of broccoli 
- 1/4 chicken breast 

1383 calories 
37g fat (25%) 
102g carbs (23%) 
174g protein (52%) 

So it was pretty good... it was bad of me to miss that meal, but I was crazy busy with three classes at my studio last night! 

Yesterday, I finally got around to making a lot of phone calls... I've now set up appointments for next week to get some stuff made (music, costumes, bikini, etc.) My goal is to have my routine music all mixed and ready to choreograph to by Friday this week! 

Today is my rest day from working out (other than getting together with my fitness friend and practising some strength moves, etc. for routine), plus I'm teaching 3 classes tonight!

I missed posting yesterday because I had THE most insanely busy Thursday ever! I can look forward to my Thursdays being a little less crazy for a while now as my series of classes that I teach at Ryerson University is over till the summer! Last night, after class, I took my Latin dance students out to a El Rancho (my favourite Latin club in Toronto)... and I was so strong and didn't even throw back one single Corona!!! I had water all night, and got tres sweaty on the dancefloor (extra workout for sure!) I have eaten a few not perfect things in the past two days so my calories have been up to almost 2000 each day. I wasn't really bad - but I did have one slice of chocolate cake on Wednesday and some liquorice and peanut butter yesterday... other than that all good! I'm going to go really clean and a little lower calories for the next few days to get that all out of my system. The great news is I've reached two of my goals for this week... I'm down to 145 pounds (that was my goal for this past Monday, so it's a little late, but better late than never!) AND on Wednesday, I got my routine music mixed - so now there's no excuses, I've already started choreographing to it! I cooked like a crazy-woman yesterday, so I have lots of healthy foods for the whole weekend! I will be working out later today (when the gym is totally packed unfortunately). 

Saturday, March 20, 2004 
Well, I wanted yesterday to be really low calorie, and it was going great all day, but by night-time, my boyfriend and I went out to a really nice new Thai restaurant in the area and I overdosed on noodles!!! And to make matters worse I had a glass of wine and a big dessert!!! My calories were way up (2500!!!) I feel so bad because everyone is commenting on how slim I've been looking and I've been feeling great, and now slowly I'm losing my eating!!! So, today, I'm back stricter than ever! If I can make it through today without any bad stuff, I think I'll be OK for another week or so (Saturdays can be tough for me, especially after having some junk on Fridays - sometimes it just keeps going!) So, I started my day off with egg whites and oatmeal... now I'm going to pack my day of eating as I'll be stuck at my studio all day and night! I'll update you all tomorrow - think good strong thoughts for me!!!
