I was doing pretty good with the calories (around 1500), but oh no - yesterday they went WAY up... it's what happens when you get carried away with the peanut butter!!! I had added an oatmeal to-go bar and a tsp. of peanut butter to get my calories up on other days - which I know aren't the cleanest best things, but they are high in calories, so it worked. I also felt like I needed some starchy carb right before I started teaching my tons of classes each night (I had been really running out of steam without!), So, I'd have the Oatmeal to-go bar with some protein before classes, and I added the extra little bit of peanut butter after my dinner. But, then yesterday, I went out with my friend to lunch... I thought I would be OK... I ordered a mushroom omelette... but of course, it came with toast and potatoes... and I ate almost all of them! Woah - I feel like I haven't eaten bread for months! I tried to keep all my other meals a lot smaller and more protein than carbs, after my carb explosion at lunch... that worked out fine, except for the many, many spoonfuls of peanut butter that I consumed! I thought I hadn't been that bad (I mean, I hadn't eaten a piece of cake or ice cream or something totally devilish...) But then, I inputted everything into fitday.com this morning and the totals were not a pretty sight! I'm going to let you all see the horror: 

8:15am - 55 minute run 

9:20am (I ate half my usual breakfast, as I knew I was going out to eat at 11:30am) 
- 1/2 cup egg whites 
- 1/2 packet oatmeal 
- applesauce 
- glutamine, multi, calcium, vitamin D, green tea, chromium 

11:30am (here's the start of trouble!) 
- mushroom omelette (I'd say about 3 eggs - WHOLE!) 
- potatoes 
- 2 slices of bread 
- 1 tbsp. peanut butter 

1:30pm (I don't know what I was thinking, but...) 
- 4 graham crackers with peanut butter 

4:30pm 
- 1/4 Nitro-Tech protein drink 
- 4 sesame snaps 

5 - 7pm - TEACH DANCE CLASSES 

7:30pm 
- chicken breast with mustard 

9:30pm 
- chicken breast with mustard 
- salad with Udo's 
- applesauce 
- 1 tbsp. peanut butter 

2053 calories 
96g fat (43%) OH MY GOODNESS!!! 
131g carbs (24%) 
170g protein (34%) 

I almost really went crazy yesterday... I felt like going to dinner at Sneaky Dee's and having one of their huge, fattening, amazingly delicious nacho platters... I kept myself away from that and my boyfriend and I had a sensible chicken and salad at home. Then after dinner, my boyfriend really had to convince me not to go to the corner store before it closed for some ice cream and/or fudge and/or cake!!! Luckily I didn't, cause I would've felt even worse entering that into fitday today!!! 

I do have some good news now!!! I got my bra from the lady who was making it (for my bikini), and I love it a lot! I'm going to start decorating it now! Also, I'm down to 143 lbs!!! It feels so good, and my clothes are just hanging off me lately! 

I'm really sick with a cold, my throat is so, so sore and I have sniffles and sneezing!!! It really sucks! I need to get more sleep tonight, I took lots of vitamin C, I have to teach three classes tonight, so unfortunately I'll get even more run down, but I can't cancel! At least this weekend I'll get a bit more of a break than I'm used to... I hope to have both Friday and Saturday nights off from shows (we'll see if I can swing it!)

I haven't posted for a bit (well, I guess I only missed one day...) I've been so sick with a cold, and I definitely didn't have the luxury of lying in bed all day so I could get better! I taught two classes yesterday sick as a dog. I'm still a bit sick, but I'm feeling a little better. I even started my day off with a nice long run this morning! So, I ate terrific all day yesterday, but after having a fight with my mom and not a terrific phone call with my boyfriend, plus you know, when you're sick you just want some bad food to make you feel a bit better, yes, you see what I'm getting at here... I ate some really sinful stuff late last night. and I felt guilty because just hours before my crazy eating two separate people had commented on how different and cut my body was looking (it helped that I had got a tan yesterday - guess it brought out more cuts!) Anyways, today I've been good and will continue... no need to indulge myself anymore as I only have one early show tonight - and by the looks of it so far - no shows tomorrow night (rest time!!!!), plus I'm going to buy myself some new clothes after my class today, so I can look super-fly this weekend! I will be doing a good weight workout today. I'll try to post after that!

Oh, I feel SO fat today!!! I was feeling great body-wise last week, but now after being sick and eating not so perfect all weekend, I feel like I'm a blimp!!! But, I'm not fixating on my faults... I'm just going totally hardcore now because I'm pretty sure I'm going to do the fitness model search at the ultimate guy show... I'm doing the Montreal show on May 1st... so, I'd better be close to ready by April 24, right? I'm not even planning on being totally perfect for the Montreal show, so I'll be even less than perfect for the guy show, but I need practise walking around in a bikini before FAME!!! I'm also such a very short-term goal type of person... I can't think months, I have to have something a few weeks away to make me work my butt off!!! So, today has been busy, but good! I bought the rest of the rhinestones so I can finish sewing them on my bikini, I ate great, I ran for over one hour and twenty minutes before breakfast!!! I didn't mean for it to be this long, but I actually got lost and had no other way to get home than to keep on running! Ooh, it was cold!!! I just got back from working my legs, shoulders, and abs. I also had a tan while I was at the gym. Feeling good and I'm about to go teach my classes tonight at the studio! Wednesday, April 7, 2004I have been SO busy this week and haven't had a chance to post here... I am going to post my diet from yesterday (Monday was about the same except quite a bit lower in calories) 9:15 - 10:15am - morning run 10:30am - 1 cup egg whites (with mushrooms) - oatmeal with applesauce - glutamine, green tea, multi, calcium, D, chromium 1:00pm - 250g skim cottage cheese - salad with Udo's 3:15pm - tuna - 1/2 cucumber 6:15pm - 250 g skim cottage cheese 9:30pm - chicken breast - salad with Udo's 12:45am - 125g skim cottage cheese - glutamine 1467 calories 46g fat (28%) 99g carbs (25%) 168g protein (46%) WOW, lots of cottage cheese - it's because I hadn't done groceries or cooked any meat until night time! Today I had a great long run (as usual), as well as having a terrific chest, tricep, abs workout - with some more cardio tacked on the end. Feeling good. Ready for my gruelling day and night of work today! Thursday, April 8, 2004I can't believe the guy show is in two weeks!!! I am definitely not feeling at all ready body-wise, but so far I'm sticking with my plan to do it (although I haven't registered yet, so it's not totally official), I won't be looking the way I want to for then, but I do really want to get the practise, plus I'm doing the fitness competition in Montreal a week later, so I hope I look semi-decent! I still have this really annoying pouch of fat left on my lower belly. It sucks - this used to be the first place I'd lose weight, but now I don't know what's taking it so long to leave!!! My eating has been pretty clean. Here is my diet from yesterday: 8:00 - 9:00am - morning run 9:00am - 1 cup egg whites with mushrooms - oatmeal with applesauce - all supplements 10:30 - 12:00 - workout! 12:00pm - 1/2 Nitro-Tech 12:30pm - tuna - salad with Udo's 3:30pm - 1/2 cucumber - chicken breast - 1 tbsp. peanut butter!!!!! 6:00pm - 1/2 cup skim cottage cheese - oatmeal to-go bar 9:30pm - salad with Udo's - 1/2 chicken breast - sole stuffed with scallops & crabmeat 1632 calories 65g fat (36%) a little high!!!! 121g carbs (28%) 150g protein (37%) Anyways, today, I will try to stay away from the peanut butter, so my fat isn't so high! Talk to you later! Friday, April 9, 2004It's so beautiful out today! I had a terrific run this morning! Not much else is new except I have the whole day and night off today! I have to decide what the heck I'll be wearing for the sports wear and evening wear rounds at the guy show (in two weeks!!!) I think for the evening wear I'll wear something I already have for this show and maybe get something new and amazing for FAME (when I might have some more money hopefully!) Here's how my yesterday looked: 8:00am - 65 minute run 9:20am - 1 cup egg whites - oatmeal with protein powder in it - all supplements 1:30pm - chicken breast with bbq sauce - salad with Udo's 4:00pm - 1 tbsp peanut butter (I don't know what that was about!) 5:40pm - 250 g skim cottage cheese - oatmeal to-go bar 7:40pm - tuna 10:00pm - chicken breast with bbq sauce - broccoli - applesauce 1691 calories 43g fat (23%) 128g carbs (27%) 205g protein (50%) It was a strange day because I had a lot of classes to teach. Good ratios though, I think! I'm going to try to eat the exact same thing every day for at least a week so there's no guess work involved. I'm going to figure out the perfect day of eating today on fitday.com and just try to stick to it as much as possible! I'll be going to the gym soon to work my biceps, back, abs, and maybe do a bit more cardio while I'm there!
